Summer Camp

Creekside offers a unique summer experience for teens who want to explore the positive aspects of mental health.
Creekside Behavioral in Kingsport, TN, is thrilled to announce our new Summer Camp IOP for adolescents. Geared toward teens ages 13-18 (and tweens 11-12 with prior approval), our Summer Camp covers a wide-range of mental health topics, including:
  • Teen empowerment
  • Body image/self-esteem
  • Substance use and prevention
  • Bullying and peer pressure
  • Self-exploration
  • Mental Health 101
  • Life skills, including interviewing, first aid, and cooking

Our  clinical team at Creekside will also engage teens in interactive therapy, field trips, and outdoor activities. This camp is a great way for teens to find a safe environment with peers and trained professionals that will help them develop coping skills and put those skills into practice.

Like our regular Part-time Outpatient Programs, this IOP Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) Summer Camp helps adolescents get the treatment they need for mental health issues in a less restrictive environment than other programs.

Summer Camp Schedule

Participants in our program must meet certain clinical criteria. Please contact us so we can offer more information and help you with any insurance coverage questions, as well. Summer camp runs for two weeks per session on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 2 – 5 pm on the following dates:

  • June 3 – June 14
  • June 17 – June 28
  • July 15 – July 26
